Prof. Dr. Heinz Klandt
Heinz Klandt is holder of the first German chair for Entrepreneurship at the EUROPEAN BUSINESS SCHOOL, International University, Wiesbaden/Oestrich-Winkel, Germany (www.ebs.edu ). He is managing director of the bifego entrepreneurship research institute (www.bifego.de) and honorary president of the FGF (Foerderkreis Gruendungs-Forschung: www.FGF-eV.de ), both nonprofit organizations.
He studied business and social psychology at the University of Cologne ("Dipl.-Kfm.") and wrote his Ph.D.-thesis there about entrepreneurial success factors (Dr. rer. pol. in 1984). He worked as research assistant, lecturer, trainer, consultant and founded the START GmbH, Dortmund - a market research company - in 1986 (www.START-institut.de ). He was a professor for empirical research methods at the University of Dortmund (1990-1998). Dr. Klandt published more than 30 books (German and English) in the field of entrepreneurship. In 1992 he started and is continuously serving as director of the yearly IntEnt Internationalizing Entrepreneurship and Training Conference
(www.intent-conference.org ). In 1997 he also initiated the now leading German speaking G-Forum Entrepreneurship Research Conference (continuously with more than 300 participating academics: www.G-Forum.de) and the corresponding web-based platform for academic research and education. Dr. Klandt developed a computer based business game ("EVa") simulating the start-up and early development phase of a company practiced internationally (in German and English) in some 200 events with more than 3.300 people.
