Spirituality and entrepreneurship
Dr. Sharda S. Nandram will give a lecture on an unusual topic in the field of entrepreneurship “spirituality and entrepreneurship”, probably odd to see both words on the same sentence. After having studied the person behind the entrepreneurs she thinks it is time to deepen the ‘inner box’, one may call intuition, reflective zone, inner sense, the area of mindfulness or authentic self. Currently she is pioneering on this field and would like to present some of her thoughts to get feedback and to mobilize scholars in the entrepreneurship field to take this relatively new topic forward in order to get more insights about entrepreneurial processes and entrepreneurs.
Sharda is professor at HAN University of applied sciences as of May 1, associate professor at Nyenrode Business Universiteit and founder of Praan Solutions, a consultancy on business growth from an integral perspective. She holds masters degrees in Work and Organizational Psychology and in General Economics, and she completed her PhD in Social Sciences. She has published several articles, chapters and books on these topics and she gives lectures and seminars in spirituality, entrepreneurship and leadership mainly in Europe and India. She is main author of The Spirit of Entrepreneurship, published in 2006 and main editor and author of several chapters in Spirituality and Business: Exploring Possibilities for a New Management Paradigm, 2010.
